Community & Membership Newsletters
Aldus powers newsletters for membership communities, cohort programs, and private Slack/Discord groups. Auto-summarise community discussions, highlight members, and drive engagement between live events.
Keep your community engaged between events →The Scenario
You run a paid community (Circle, Slack, Discord, or similar). Between live events and AMAs, engagement dips. You need a weekly newsletter that summarises the best community discussions, spotlights members, and keeps everyone coming back — without adding another job to your plate.
What You'll Achieve
- ✓Auto-summarised community highlights every week
- ✓Higher member retention via consistent engagement
- ✓Spotlight threads and members automatically
- ✓Drive event attendance with timely, personalised reminders
How Aldus Handles It
Slack/Discord AI summariser
Aldus ingests your community's public channels and summarises the top threads, questions, and wins — in your voice.
Member spotlight automation
AI identifies members contributing most value (top posters, helpful answerers, new joiners) and auto-drafts spotlight sections.
Event-driven sends
Connect to Luma, Eventbrite, or your scheduler. Aldus sends reminder newsletters 24h, 1h, and post-event with recordings.
Cohort-based segmentation
Segment by cohort, tier, join date, or activity level. Personalise content per cohort without duplicating work.
Walkthrough: From Zero to First Send
Connect your community platform
OAuth connect to Slack, Discord, or Circle. Aldus reads only the channels you designate.
Configure the weekly digest
Pick your schedule, top-N thread count, member spotlight settings, and upcoming-event teaser policy.
Review the first digest
Aldus drafts the first newsletter and posts it to you for review. Most communities need only minor edits.
Automate sending
Switch to auto-send after 2-3 rounds of review. Now your community gets consistent weekly content without any work from you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this read private Slack/Discord channels?
Only channels you explicitly authorize. Aldus never reads DMs, private groups, or channels outside the scope you set. All data is encrypted at rest and deleted on disconnect.
Will my community members be alerted I'm using AI?
That's your call. Many communities disclose it in their welcome post. The AI writes in your voice, so members typically can't tell the difference anyway.
Can I paywall community content in the newsletter?
Yes. Gate deeper summaries or member spotlights behind a paid tier for non-paying members. Great for freemium community upsells.
What about privacy?
Members can opt out of being featured in any spotlight. Aldus respects that preference forever and never re-surfaces them unless they opt back in.
